Morris Metals New Zealand Welding Sustainability Metal Works Team

We are solution-driven and sustainability-minded

We use technology and materials that help us minimise waste and environmental impact, and to stand the test of time (not an easy feat in Wellington’s harsh coastal environment!)

Certain pieces we create last well beyond the lifespans of the vehicles they were originally designed for. This often means we see some customers infrequently when they return for a swap to a new vehicle. We take pride in this enduring relationship as our form of repeat business.

  • Morris Metals New Zealand Metal Works Aluminium Custom Work

    Aluminium: Our Passion

Given the choice, we opt for aluminium. Its sustainability, versatility, and strength make it our material of choice.

Aluminium: Our Preferred Choice

We recommend aluminium for most of our projects, and here's why:

  • Abundant and Sustainable

It's the most abundant naturally occurring metal, making it an eco-friendly choice.

  • Versatility at Its Best

Aluminium outperforms other metals in numerous applications. It's highly recyclable, lightweight, strong, corrosion-resistant, durable, and cost-effective. From intricate uses in roof flashings to robust applications in boats, trucks, and trailers, aluminium does it all.

  • Strength You Can Trust

Worried if it's strong enough for your project? In most cases, the answer is a resounding yes. High-grade aluminium even finds its place in aeroplane fuselages due to its exceptional strength and fatigue resistance.

  • Sustainability in Architecture

Aluminium is the cornerstone of architecturally designed buildings. Its unique qualities, including strength, lightweight nature, corrosion resistance, recyclability, and adaptability, make it the perfect choice for sustainable projects.

  • Exploring Other Metal Options

If you have a specific metal finish or function in mind, we also have extensive experience working with metals such as stainless steel, copper and bronze.
